Access to new ideas has always been difficult for people with limited vision, hearing or mobility. Digital technology offers us the opportunity to make inspiration, ideas, and communication accessible to everyone. And all of this can be done without sacrificing a website’s aesthetic appeal.

We tithe ten percent of our time to volunteering with websites of communities and causes that we support. Important ideas and good people should always have access to beautiful web design.

Subsidiarity

Subsidiarity is the principle that decisions should be made at the lowest level possible. This is why we work directly with clients and users, rather than through extra layers of managers and project planners. It is also why we create loose project plans that adapt to changing circumstances, rather than using contracts and paperwork to avoid doing precisely what you need.

Beauty

We see beauty in all of the world around us, and believe that it comes from the love of God. Well-designed websites should reflect the same love and beauty that we expect from another human being or from nature. They should use proportions and rhythms which come from nature and music. We can all agree that these aesthetic choices are truly beautiful, and many of us can agree that their beauty derives from its origin in the mind of God.

Tradition

In every vibrant era of its history, we have needed new technologies for recording ideas. Now our entire tradition of philosophy, science, and literature is moving online. We need to understand the traditions of art, typography, calligraphy and story-telling before we can try to understand the new medium. Firmly rooted in the tradition, we will be able to develop the fundamentally new digital medium that will preserve traditional works and give birth to new ones.
